Fishing Tips and Techniques
I love fishing. You cast your line in the water and start waiting. Time slowly passes, you hear the current moves, Seaguls move... Wind moves... Your mind moves... It goes under water and imagination and hope takes over you. You don't know what is happening at the end of your line. Your mind, your imagination, your patience are all under water,They go deeper, you go deeper, then you find it there, you become one with the water, you become the fish. You catch yourself, you bring yourself back on the surface and then the cycle starts again.
It is not an escape. It is life, it is meditation, and it is turning back into yourself.
I have been fishing for over 30 years and I never had a bad day while fishing. Many times, I came back empty handed but I never thought I waisted those hours on the water for nothing.
Fishing is a very blind friendly activity. Certain techniques are more accessible to the blind. No matter what technique is being used, the job of the angler is to feel the fish on the line and you do not need to see to be able to do that.
Here on this page I share some of the things I learned about fishing over the years. Although I'll describe everything in a blind freindly way all of this techniques and tips will help any beginner angler.
How Tide and Tidal Currents affect Fishing
Change in tide affects fishing condition greatly. If you are pier fishing around San Francisco Bay your best chance to catch fish is around high tide. Learn About Tides in SF BayPier 7
Pier 7 is one of my favorite fishing spot in San Francisco Bay. It is a year-round place to go for many anglers. Read more about pier 7My Photo Gallery
